About Me
Hi, I’m Karri.
I started Karma Garage Yoga as an adult, but my love of handstands began at an early age!
I completed my 500 hour yoga teacher training in 2020, but it wasn’t until I retired from my career as a registered nurse that I decided to become a yoga teacher. As a postpartum nurse and lactation consultant for 23 years, I helped countless women connect with their bodies. It’s important to me to bring that same nurturing spirit and patience to my yoga students.
I love traveling the world, finding new and exciting places to practice yoga, from the beaches of Thailand, doing poses on a standup paddle board in Utah, or leading a class on the deck of a boat in the Galapagos.
My Philosophy
I believe yoga is not just about the physical poses, but is a journey towards inner peace and holistic wellbeing using the postures and the breath. Through teaching, I foster self care and self acceptance in a safe environment, with warmth and an open heart. Stepping onto the mat is an invitation to rediscover the joy within that is so often lost to the layers of stress, tension, and negativity that we accumulate on our daily journeys.
So come, join us at Karma Garage Yoga, and experience the transformative power of yoga firsthand. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or a beginner, together we can connect to strengthening our body and soul.

“I’m pretty new to doing yoga, and Karri is such a patient, attentive teacher.”
— Jennifer, yoga student
